Pest control for Foxes in London

Effective London pest control for Foxes

Foxes are pests that can cause unforeseen damage to your business. The urban fox is prevalent in London with approximately 28 foxes per square mile.  They are making their home on construction sites with the mainstay of their diet being waste food from restaurants, takeaways, hotels, pubs and food-processing units. These organisations are being increasingly targeted by foxes.

Early detection by professionally trained and experienced Dyno-Pest technicians plus a prompt, effective ongoing management regime is the effective way to treat pest foxes whether they are an occasional or regular nuisance.   Call for qualified help at the first sighting of a fox on your premises or if you have evidence of a scavenging fox.

They may look attractive but Foxes can wreak havoc

  • Scavenging in rubbish, up turning bins, ripping open rubbish sacks thereby leading to an increase in mice, rats and insect pests
  • They mark  their territory with urine and droppings
  • They transmit  disease – Toxocariasis being the most common

The damage to your business:

  • In recent months, growing public unease at the potential physical threat posed by foxes means that no business especially one from the hospitality sector can ignore a Fox problem
  • There is a risk of negative reprisal from customers and pressure groups if you decide to have pest foxes culled. If this is a concern we can offer many alternatives
  • You could be on the receiving end of  health and safety fines and sanctions  if you don’t tackle the problem of Foxes scavenging through your rubbish

“Power of 3” protection programme

Dyno-Pest Pest Fox Management Treatment

Whilst it’s impossible to guarantee that your business will never be impacted by Foxes, you can greatly reduce the risk with the Dyno-Pest ‘Power of 3’ protection programme:

  1. A qualified Dyno-Pest surveyor will undertake a thorough on-site inspection and you will receive a report detailing findings, the proposed treatment and fees. The latest treatments for Foxes that are used by accredited Dyno-Pest technicians are cost-effective and safe, posing no threat to humans or animals.  If it is necessary to cull a Fox, this will be  carried out in a humane manner by a qualified Dyno-Pest pest controller using  approved and licensed techniques.

Before treatment, Dyno-Pest will recommend that the affected areas are disinfected with a supplied disinfectant.  Foxes mark the areas they frequent with their droppings and these can carry Toxocariasis.

  1.  The treatment used by Dyno-Pest can only be used by professional operatives with the appropriate application certification by DEFRA (The Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs).  Because Foxes are reliant on their sense of smell, the dried deposits of the approved treatment emit a very unpleasant smell.  Foxes associate this with the area and so move away.  This aversion to the area persists even after the chemical has been washed away.
  2. Management treatment is recommended; usually on a quarterly basis to prevent other Foxes from inhabiting the previously treated area.  In areas with a high density of Foxes, your Dyno-Pest technician will advise on the optimum management programme.

Contact Dyno-Pest today if your business is being affected by Foxes and you want to find out more about Dyno-Pest’s approach to proactive pest management.

Best practice tips:

  • Make sure that all waste food is securely packaged and stored in bins that cannot be easily accessed or toppled over.
  • Never leave food uncovered either indoors or outdoors
  • In outdoor eating areas make sure that all tables are cleared of leftovers and the floor is inspected and swept regularly.  Scraps left under a table or on a plate could entice a Fox.  Don’t provide a regular  source of food for them
  • Be alert, brief all staff members to be vigilant-and build daily spot checks into your cleaning programme.  Don’t simply rely on scheduled visits from your Dyno-Pest technician.  If in doubt, request an unscheduled visit

If your business is being affected by foxes contact Dyno-Pest to arrange a visit from a professional Dyno-Pest technician.
